BRUSH, Paul Christopher Brush

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Christopher Brush, who departed this life unexpectedly on February 10, 2026, in Englehart, Ontario, at the age of 67. Born on August 12, 1958, in Huntsville, Ontario, Paul was a cherished member of his community and a loving family man.

Paul dedicated his life to carpentry and construction, acquiring his A1 license and becoming exceptionally skilled in concrete work—a trade that he loved deeply. Known for his hard-working nature, Paul quit school at the age of 16 to support his family, beginning his journey in the workforce on a dairy farm. His commitment and work ethic were not only evident in his profession but also in his relationships with those around him.

A man of kind heart and generous spirit, Paul was always willing to assist family, friends, and even strangers in their times of need. He had a particular fondness for his animals, especially his beloved puppy Boo Boo, who brought him much joy. Paul also had a profound appreciation for his home, relishing the comfort of his special spot on the couch, often keeping an eye on his cherished 501 weather station.

Paul’s hobbies and interests included fishing and camping whenever time permitted, pursuits that allowed him to embrace the great outdoors and create lasting memories with loved ones.

He leaves behind a loving wife, Debbie Brush, affectionately known as Duckie, and his children: Laura, Chris, Kenny “Donkey”, Tyler “Turkey”, and Shannon “Pumpkin”. Paul was also a devoted grandfather, lovingly referred to as Poppa Mawa to Willow, Popa Paul to Henry Paul, and Grandpa to Cody.

His absence will be felt deeply by his buddy, John McCallum, and Mary Ann. Paul was also greatly loved by his mother-in-law, Muriel, and father-in-law, Gary McCallum, as well as by a caring circle of family and friends. He will be dearly missed by Cindy, Ken, Ray and Joan, Ted and Darlene, Ruth, Mike and Gerry, Matt and Carla, Fred, and all of his nieces and nephews.

Paul was predeceased by his parents, Ron and Laura Brush, and his sister, Dorothy.

A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor on February 13, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Billingsley Funeral Home, located at 430 Ravenscliffe Road, Huntsville, Ontario, P1H 1L7.  As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations can be made to Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary in Paul’s memory.
