BUCK, Agnes Buck
November 9, 1942 - September 27, 2025Into the waiting arms of her loving husband Glen (predeceased July 15, 2024) Agnes passed away peacefully surrounded by family, music and so much love on Saturday, September 27, 2025.
Agnes was born on November 9, 1942 in Boxmeer, Holland and immigrated to Canada in 1952 with her parents and eight siblings. Agnes, as the eldest daughter, was tasked with helping to raise her many brothers and sisters which led to her becoming the strong-willed, sharp-tongued, but ever loving woman that she became. Agnes (Aggie) was a school bus driver for over 20 years and for many was their favourite driver. She was not a micromanager but any nonsense behaviour and a stern look by Aggie in the rearview mirror meant to quickly knock it off.
Agnes met her beloved Glen at age 17 and were married on August 28th,, 1965. Through the years their life was built around family, with many games nights, movie nights, Sunday dinners, camping trips, road trips and cruises.
She was predeceased by her parents Johannes and Maria; siblings Josephine, Peitrus, Cornelius, Ted, John, brother and sister in-laws: Kevin, Wilhi, Dave and Bert and will be missed by siblings Peter, Maria, Tonie, Mary and Frank, sister-in-laws Annie, Ursula, Yvonne and Bonna and numerous nieces and nephews.
Agnes was a loving mother to children Maria (Paul), Glenda (Joe), Gerry (Sarah), Tracy (John), Glendon (Rokia) and is now resting with sons Gerald and Francis (predeceased).
Agnes the constant caregiver loved and often cared for her grandchildren over the years Nathan (Shanelle), Joey (Jen), Sam (Marissa), Maggie (Ian), Amanda (Ronak), Alicia (Andrew), Keeton, Aiden, Amelia, Gracie, Avery, Francis, Elliott, Zachary and was adored by great-grandchildren Wade, Kobe, Aria, Daxx, Hazel, Bella, Millie, Louis, and Roland. The Buck family also welcomed Pam (Wade), Chase, Ryder and Trevor (Christine) into their home and hearts.
The family will be forever grateful to Brenda and Danielle for their constant support, kindness and compassion. Their reassurances, insight and humour were welcome gifts during this difficult time and will never be forgotten. We would have been lost without you.
The family also wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to PSWβs Shelly, Chris and Avery and Physician Dr. Grieve.
A celebration of the lives of Agnes and Glen Buck will be held at the Brechin Legion on Sunday, November 9th, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
