BURK, Patricia Burk

A resident of Blenheim, Patricia (Pat) Burk passed away peacefully with family at her side at the Blenheim Community Village on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at the age of 96.

Born in Raleigh Township, Pat was the daughter of the late Josef and Maria (Bilek) Mahdal.

Beloved wife of the late Edward Merton Burk (2009) for 61 years.

Loving mother to Ed (Sue) Burk of Blenheim, Tom Burk of Chatham, Jack (Lorie) Burk of Blenheim, Don (Linda, 2021) Burk of Blenheim, Betty Ann Voros (Wayne Weed) of West Lorne and Mary Ann (Dennis) Houle of Chatham.

Grandmother to 19 grandchildren, great-grandmother to 27 and great-great-grandmother to 2.

Pat is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Pat was predeceased by her siblings Mary (Tony) Vanek, Tom (Mary) Bednarik, Betty (Frank) Ricica, Frances (Jerry) Zoula, Annie (Frank) Myslik and Joe Mahdal.

Our mother spent her entire life as a member of the local farming community. Mom was raised on a farm in Raleigh Township and then, after marrying, spent many years helping on the family farm in Harwich Township. At the latter end of her career as a Seed Analyst, she enjoyed working at W.G. Thompson and Sons in Blenheim.

Mom had a fondness for playing Bingo, the Pick-3 lottery and trips to the casino.

A special thanks to Brent Ward for all of the attention and kindness he has shown our mother throughout the years.

The family would like to thank the staff at Blenheim Community Village, particularly Tina, Deb, Ashley, Janice, Brie and Dr. Martha Clendenning for their excellent care of Mom over the past nine years.

Visitation will take place at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Monday, November 17, 2025 from 6:00 – 8:00pm and on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 from 9:30 – 10:30am. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, 95 Marlborough St. N., Blenheim on Tuesday at 11:00am.

Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Blenheim, Ontario following the service.
