BURM, Paula Burm
On Sunday, September 7, 2025, Paula Maria Burm left us peacefully to be with the Lord at the age of 89. She has now been reunited with her beloved husband Joseph Edmund Burm and will be forever loved and missed by her children Francine (Paul) Pinsonneault, Joanne (Reg) Snyder, Marlene Paul, Barbara (Tim) Caron and Nelson Burm. Cherished grandmother of Justin, Jacob and Nathan Pinsonneault, Diana and Rachel Snyder, Meghan Snyder (Jamie VanderBerg), Daniel Paul, Owen and Jared Caron and her great grandchildren Aneeda, Clover, Rainn and Elyse.
Paula is the daughter of the late Madeleine (Vande Vondele) and Gerard Van Couter and a dear sister of Cecile (Don) Houle, Lena (Albert) Lauwereys and the late Anthony and Vera Van Couter. She will be fondly remembered by Joseph’s siblings Joan (the late Paul) Bogaert, Jean (the late George) Van Damme, Doreen (the late John) Bogaart and the late Margorie (Henry, surviving) Laevens and the late Constant and Dianne Burm as well as her many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Her family would like to extend a very sincere thank you to all the staff at Riverview Gardens for the care and comfort provided to Paula for the last 3 years.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231) on Thursday, September 11, 2025 from 3-7pm. Her Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church on Friday, September 12, 2025 at 11am with burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery.
