BYNG, Thomas Dwayne Byng

Thomas Byng passed away peacefully at home on March 8th, leaving behind a lifetime of stories, friendships, and quiet acts of kindness. Thomas was the kind of person people were instantly drawn to. With his infectious laugh and generous spirit, he had a way of making everyone feel welcome and valued. Conversations with Thomas rarely stayed small for long — they quickly turned into genuine connection.

He carried a deep enthusiasm for life and approached it with curiosity, resilience, and humour, even when faced with difficult moments. Those who knew him will remember not only what he said or did, but how he made people feel — respected, included, and cared for.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Cathy Mauro; his daughters, Sam and Morgan Byng, and the many friends and family whose lives he touched.

As per his wishes he’s been cremated and a celebration of life will be held in the warmer months, north of the GTA.
