CALLAGHAN, Scott Callaghan

Passed away on December 8, 2025, at Bluewater Health in Sarnia, Ontario, surrounded by his family.

Scott was born on July 24, 1968, in Wetaskiwin, Alberta. He spent most of his life in Strathroy, Ontario, a community he cared for deeply and where he built lasting relationships. He dedicated his career to the automotive sales industry and took great pride in connecting with people and serving his community.

Known for his sharp, sarcastic wit and famous one-liners, Scott had a gift for making people laugh. Music, reading, and writing poetry were lifelong passions that grounded him. He also loved watching sports, from hometown games to major league matchups, and was an especially devoted Toronto Maple Leaf’s fan.

Scott’s greatest pride was his children. He loved hearing stories from Caitlin’s teaching days, watching videos from their summer canoe trips, and seeing photos of his cherished grand dog, Rook, along with his newest joyβ€”his granddaughter, Elowyn. He treasured watching Sean play hockey throughout the years and was incredibly proud of Sean’s achievements of becoming an airline pilot.

Scott is survived by his children Caitlin (Graeme) Hogg and Sean (ZoΓ«) Callaghan, his granddaughter Elowyn Hogg, his father Wally Callaghan, and his brothers Kevin (Glenys) Callaghan and Mike (Jill) Callaghan. Scott is also remembered by his former spouse, Peggy Callaghan, mother of his children.

He was predeceased by his mother, Gladys Callaghan.

A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) in Scott’s honour.
