CAMP, George Rex Camp

It is with heavy, broken hearts that the family announce the passing of George Rex Camp, peacefully with his family by his side on October 6th, 2025 at the age of 88.

Loving husband of 64 years to Christa, devoted father to Pam and Rod (Muriel) and proud grandpa to Alisha and Nicholas.

George was the third child of Edwin Diamond and Iva Maude Camp (Weir) and the youngest brother to Douglas Camp and Hazel (Hovey).

Born June 3rd, 1937 in Montreal, Quebec, George worked for Bell Canada installing lines in the Place Ville Marie, started and owned an electronics business and worked for the T. Eaton Company for over 25 years.

George met and married his soul mate Christa on August 12th, 1961 and raised two children in Montreal, eventually moving to Oshawa in 1980 and then moving with Christa to Northbrook to enjoy his retirement and country living.

George was a devoted family man and every weekend was spent camping and fishing or going with his children to their sporting events.

George and Christa enjoyed bowling in a leaque and eventually turned to curling which they introduced their children to and curled in many bonspiels as a family.

George will be extremely missed by his wife and family and by the close circle of friends we call our extended family.
