WADE, Carol Ann –
October 2, 1951 – March 7, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear Carol Ann (Annie) who passed away unexpectedly, after a brief illness which she fought with all her strength.
Carol Ann was born in Montreal and was predeceased by her parents, Don and Marjorie Wade.
Family always came first to Carol Ann. She was a loving sister to Brian (Janis), Don (Laurel), and Darlene (Andrew) Fairlie; and an adoring aunt to her nieces and nephews, Lauren (Steve), Brendan (Alyssa), Trevor, and Paige (SΓ©bastien); and her three great-nieces, Charlotte, Madelyn and Lily.
She loved family events and celebrations and especially being with her nieces and nephews as they grew up.
After graduating from McGill University, she began her amazing teaching career starting in Montreal, followed by three years in Lahr, Germany, and then settled in Toronto, where she taught in various schools within the York Catholic District School Board for over 35 years.
She touched the lives of many and will always be loved and never forgotten. In Memory of Carol Ann, a Visitation will take place on Sunday, March 17, 2024, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, 166 Main Street North, Markham. A Memorial Mass will take place at St. Patrick’s Parish, 5633 Highway 7, Markham, on Monday, March 18, 2024, at 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
