CARPENTER, Summer Carpenter

It is with the most saddened of hearts that we announce the passing of Summer Carpenter on December 1st 2025 after her hard battle with cancer at the age of 40. Summer was a proud, devoted and amazing mother to her daughter Kinsley Carpenter. She was a cherished daughter to her mother Sherry Carpenter and her father Brian Hillman. She was a loved and cherished stepdaughter to Marie Richards (Gord Richards) and Debbie Cook. She will be dearly missed by her sisters Ashley Carpenter, Jaime Wilcox, Jessi Richards, Trish Breyer and by her brother Justen Richards and sister-in-law Zerlinda Richards. As well as by her uncles Bill and David Carpenter. She is predeceased by her grandparents Jack and Jeanine Carpenter as well as her brother Jordan Richards. Summer was an amazing and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews and played a big role in all of their lives. Cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements will be released at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Autism Ontario (cheques only at the funeral home please). Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
