It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carmine Carpino, peacefully on May 7th, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa surrounded by his loving family. Carmine was a devoted husband to Maria, his beloved wife of 63 years, and a cherished father to Eugenio (Miranda), Franco (Marisa), and Patrizia (Nicola). His grandchildren, Andrew (Natasha), Daniel (Taylor), Michaela, Massimo, and Angelica, will forever remember him as their fun-loving nonno.

Carmine’s life was marked by his unwavering love for his family and his joyful spirit. He was the proud owner of Carmen’s Barbershop in Oshawa for over 50 years. His legacy lives on through the countless memories he created with his loved ones, and his dear customers.

He is survived by his loving sister, Anna (late Luigi), and brother, Mario (Tina). Carmine was predeceased by his brothers Antonio (late Vincenza), Giovanni (late Maria) and Pasquale (late Evelina). Dear brother-in-law of Osvaldo (Rosa), Pasquale, Pina (Franco), Rossella (Domenico), Mirella (Giuseppe) and Carmelo. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.

As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the incredible life he lived. Carmine’s warmth, generosity, and love will continue to inspire us all. His memory will be a guiding light, reminding us to cherish every moment and to love deeply.

Visitations will be held on Thursday, May 15th from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm at the Oshawa Funeral Home, 847 King Street West, Oshawa, Ontario L1J 2L4 (905-721-1234).

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, May 16th at St. Mary of the People Parish at 11:00am, followed by entombment at Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada or Diabetes Canada.
