CASEY, Brian Donald Casey
June 18, 2025
It is with profound sadness and with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved partner, stepfather, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, neighbour, and friend, Brian Donald Casey. He left us too soon on June 18, 2025, at the Niagara Falls Hospital at the age of 69βhis favourite number!βleaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness.
Brian was born in Niagara Falls in 1956. To many, he was a quiet source of strength and warmth, bringing comfort through his steady presence, generous heart, and an ever-cheerful sense of humour. He was steadfast, sincere, and deeply devoted to his family, especially to the love of his life, Marina Parkes.
Brian proudly served over 15 years as a volunteer firefighter with the Fort Erie Fire Department, first at Station 2 and later at Central Fire Station. He served with pride until his mandatory retirement at age 65.
A man of many passions, Brian loved loud music, hockey (Go Leafs!), football (Go Bills!), skiing, running 14 marathons, golf, gardening, reading, getaways, and deep conversations. A master craftsman and respected painter, he was known for his precision, dedication, and warm rapport with clients.
Brian is survived by his partner of over 14 years, Marina Parkes; step-son Trevor (Rachael); granddaughter Tillie and a baby on the way; siblings Carolyn Kett (Reginald), Michael (Susie), and Stephen (Marianne Tykolis); many nieces, nephews, and extended family; and his beloved Aunt Mary Lou. He was predeceased by his grandparents, parents Francis Casey and Barbara (Ryan) Hebbourn, stepfather Richard Hebbourn, step-siblings Donna, Rick, Barbara Hebbourn, and several aunts and uncles.
