CASTONGUAY, Martha Castonguay

The family announces with great sorrow the passing of Martha Castonguay, who passed away peacefully in Sudbury on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the age of 94 years.
Beloved wife of the late Philias Castonguay. Daughter of the late Aristide and the late May Lamothe. Loving mother of Clarence Castonguay (late Janet), Martha Castonguay Melong (late David), and Linda Castonguay (late Louis). Predeceased by her children Clement Castonguay (Darielle), Germaine Credger (Robert), Lee, Montcalm and Helene Castonguay. Martha was also predeceased by her 20 siblings.
Cherished grandmother of Yvan, Joey, Melanie, Tanja, Yves-Luc, Natasha, Adam, Jean-Louis, and Dina. She will be lovingly remembered by her many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Martha was a pillar of her community, known for her longtime service with the Lions Club and her remarkable talent for sewing—especially her handmade quilts, each one stitched with care and a story of love in every pattern. Generous, kind-hearted, and always ready to lend a helping hand, she filled her home with warmth, laughter, and the sweet aroma of her famous homemade fudge, which everyone looked forward to. She will be forever remembered as a mother to all and will be deeply missed.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 4691 RR 15, Chelmsford, on Saturday, November 8, 2025, beginning at 12:00 noon. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 1:30 p.m.
