BARR, Catherine Mary Barr Obituary

BARR, Catherine Mary – Peacefully at Lanark Lodge on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 in her 91st year.

Lovingly remembered by her children Diane Letourneau (Dave Seabrooke), Karen Tubman (Garth) and Kevin Barr (Kathleen); grandchildren Sandi Gilpin (Lyle), Kristopher Tubman (Jolene Henderson), Robin Delahunt (Steve Brown), Katelyn Letourneau, Laura Barr and Kaeden Barr; great-grandchildren Brian and Sarah Gilpin, Emma and Kyla Henderson and Alexa Tubman.

Cathy was predeceased by her beloved husband Harold in 2007.

Following a 30 year career with the Royal Canadian Air Force that took their family throughout Europe and Canada, Cathy and Harold settled as longtime residents of Munster and Stittsville. For many years they were faithful parishioners at Christ Church Ashton, where Harold was the organist.

Cathy currently resided in Perth, most recently at Lanark Lodge. Her family is grateful to the staff at Carolina Retirement Suites and especially to those caring for her at Lanark Lodge in her final weeks.

Cathy is survived by her eldest brother Alf Laidler of Ottawa and was predeceased by siblings Audrey Wilson, Bob, George and Doug Laidler.

Friends may visit with the family at Christ Church Anglican Ashton, Ontario on Saturday, December 19th from 12 noon until time of Funeral Service at 1 o’clock.

As expressions of sympathy donation to Lanark Lodge would be greatly appreciated by the family.
