CHAPESKIE, Teresa Ann Dombroskie Chapeskie

She born on Sept 7, 1941 was sent to her eternal home on November 27th, 2025 in Barry’s Bay. She was the beloved daughter of Peter and Catherine Dombroskie.

Teresa was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her friends, family and many more whose lives were touched by her. We ask that you remember her for the way her life was lived, and for the profound impact it had on those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Teresa is survived by her loving children, Martin and Laurna (Grant) and was a cherished grandma to twin boys Scott & Eric, David and Andrea and loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence Chapeskie, and daughter Bridget Gutoskie.

Teresa was well known in her community and in her working life she could be found at the Post Office helping people throughout the day.  Her passion for her community could be seen in her relentless volunteering, whether it be the Terry Fox Run, St Hedwig’s Sacred League, St Francis Hospital Gift shop, Madawaska Hospice Palliative Care and many, many other groups to long to list. Teresa was always willing to help in any capacity. Her scrumptious homemade donuts were known throughout the community.

Teresa found solace and community at St. Hedwig’s Church where a Mass of Christian Burial service will be celebrated at 10:30am Wednesday, December 3rd 2025, St. Hedwig’s Church, Barry’s Bay.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Madawaska Valley Association for Community Living for grandsons Scott & Eric, Madawaska Hospice Palliative Care, St Francis Memorial Hospital or a charity of your choice.
