Ross treasured the friendships he made during his military career and deeply valued the camaraderie of his teammates. Ross retired to Kelowna, BC in 1996.
Ross enjoyed an active life. He loved golfing and was an avid runner and curler for many years. Each summer, he could be found tending to his tomato plants, and he took great pleasure in reading a good book on his sunny patio. Family celebrations and time with friends were always important to him. He appreciated a good glass of wine or beer, had a fondness for a delicious cookie, and, true to his Air Force roots, was known for running a tight schedule.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Adam Burnnett for his compassion and dedicated care. Special gratitude is also given to the wonderful palliative nurses, Deanna, Tiffany, and Janice, whose calm and reassurance meant so much to the family. Sincere appreciation is extended to all palliative home care workers and the Hospice House Kelowna staff β you are truly angels in disguise.Β Also, a special thank-you goesΒ to his friends and neighbours in the Chartwell community where he lived;Β they were so wonderful about checking up on Dad and bringing over soup, snacks, and checking in to say βhiβ.
Ross will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
