With deep love and sadness, we announce the passing of Danial Emond Chartrand, born November 27, 1954, in Pembroke, Ontario, who passed away peacefully at home in Timmins Ontario on September 15, 2025 at the age of 70.
Danial was the devoted husband and best friend of Denise Chartrand, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, laughter and memories. Together, they built a family that was his greatest source of pride. He was a loving father to Corey (Diane), Ashley (Chris), and Bradley (Amy). He is now reunited in Heaven with his beloved son Albert Laberge (Tara).Family meant everything to Danial. His grandchildren, Taylor, Andrew, Brianna, Jonah, Brandon, Brianna, Tomasz, Kasia, Eva and Zoe, and his great-grandchildren Zayden and Jayce, brought light into his life. He treasured every moment with them. To them, he was not just a grandfather, but a source of wisdom, comfort, and unconditional love.

Danial was welcomed into eternal rest by his parents Barbara and Russel Chartrand and his sister Donna. He leaves behind his brother Perry (Tena) and his sister Patricia (Marcel), along with his cherished parents-in-law Donald and Louise Courville, his brothers-in-law Roger (Sherry) and Brian (Cathy). His love also extended to his many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, godchildren, cousins and countless friends, all of whom will deeply feel his absence.

Those who knew Danial will remember his quiet strength, his gentle heart, and the way he always put others before himself. He had a gift for making people feel cared for, and his kindness and steady presence will never be forgotten.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. A celebration of life will follow from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the LESSARD Reception Centre, where family and friends can gather to share stories, laughter and love in his honor. Remembrance donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
