CHEESMAN, Kathleen ‘Kay’ Emma Cheesman

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kay Cheesman, who peacefully passed away at home on Saturday January 17, 2026.

Kay was the loving wife of the late Stanley Harold Cheesman. Mother to the late Nancy Cheesman and survived by her sons Robert (Cathy), Larry (Ann), Gary, and Randy (Edie). She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Jenny, Jason (Jen), Sarah (Adam), Jennah (Kyle), Ryan (Samantha) as well as her great grandchildren Kayden, Nolin, Nicholas, Evelyn, and Brock.

Kay worked for the railroad in the telegraph office prior to meeting her husband, Stan. She spent many years caring for children, not only her own, before joining Fuller Brush Sales team. Kay went on to Supreme Aluminum, making pots and pans on an assembly line. Prior to retirement, she spent several years as a demonstrator for food and appliance sales.

Kay loved to garden, make crafts and spend time with family. Anyone she met became her friend for life.
She will be truly missed.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday January 25, 2026, at THORNTON FUNERAL CENTRE (1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, 905-579-6787) with visitation at 12:00 p.m. followed by the service at 1:00 p.m.
