CIARDULLO, Edmondo Ciardullo

June 21, 1931 - December 22, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edmondo (Eddy) Ciardullo, at the age of 94, peacefully in his home on Monday, December 22, 2025. Beloved husband and life partner of Johanna (née Linschoten) for 66 years. Loving father of Herman Ciardullo (Rose Gervasi) and Carolina Veinneau (predeceased by Dale Veinneau). He will be greatly missed by the four stars of his life, his grandchildren Nico Veinneau, Eddie Ciardullo, Katharina Veinneau, and Kia Veinneau (née Tyrell Jack), as well as his great-grandchildren Amari and Adalina. He was predeceased by his parents, Luigi and Serafina; his siblings Salvatore Ciardullo (Marietta), Emma Beltrano (Francesco), Fiorenza Fiorino (Michele), Armando Ciardullo (Concetta), Catina Ammirato (Phillipo), Guido Ciardullo (Adelina), Vittorio Ciardullo (Ida), Americo Ciardullo (surviving spouse Rosina), and Yolanda (Antonio Reda); his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Hermanus and Georgina Linschoten; and his brother- and sister-in-law Peter and Lyn Linschoten, Margaret and Wayne Fenton. He is survived by Carol and John Olenski, Betsy and John Travale, and John and Kathy Linschoten. Edmondo (Eddy) was born in Donnici, Calabria, on June 21, 1931, and immigrated to Canada in 1954-never forgetting his roots, yet always a proud Canadian. Within a few years, he entered the produce business with great success and later the gardening business. The garden centre became the second love of his life, after family. His customers became his friends and were always welcome to sit with him and enjoy a coffee, a cookie, and a short sambuca-always followed, of course, by some type of price “negotiation.” A very special thank you to the amazing PSW’s and nurses in his life; Maria, Susie and Raman as well as all the family and friends that came by so often to visit. He never missed a chance to say “I love you” to all of us, and he always thanked God for the happiness and love that we shared.

Visitation at Friscolanti Funeral Chapel, 43 Barton St. E, Hamilton on Monday, December 29, 2025 from 3-5 & 6-8 pm. A Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 620 Rymal Rd E. Hamilton on Tuesday, December 30, at 11 am. Cremation to follow.
