MURRAY, Clifford Christopher ‘Cliff’ Murray Obituary
MURRAY, Clifford Christopher ‘Cliff’ – (August 24, 1937 to September 23, 2015)
It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of Clifford (Cliff) Christopher Murray, at the age of 78, on September 23, 2015 at the Niagara Falls General Hospital, after succumbing to injuries sustained in a fall.
Cliff leaves behind his wife of 53 years, Sarah (Syms), his beloved children, Lynne and Scott, and adoring grandchildren, Lauren and Nolan. Cliff is survived by his siblings, Louis (Helen) Murray and Anna-Marie (Marko) Bosnak.
The eldest child of the late John and Kathleen (McDermott) Murray, Cliff will be reunited with his parents and siblings Brian, Trevor and Jacqueline, who have predeceased him and rest peacefully.
As a meat department manager with Dominion Stores, Cliff will be remembered by those who came in for a “special cut,” and his colleagues for his light-hearted and practical jokes. Having lived in the Niagara Region for the majority of his life, Cliff loved to spend his time couch-coaching his favourite hockey team, the Maple Leafs, treating himself to a casino run and spent many years as a member of the Niagara bowling league.
Uncle Cliff will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews as a kind man with a sharp sense of humour.
At his wish, Cliff has foregone formal services, preferring to be quietly celebrated by those who know and love him.
In memory of Cliff, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
