JONES, Clifford George Jones

JONES, Clifford George  –   It is with heavy hearts that we announce the loss of a dear husband, father and grandfather, Clifford George Jones.

Cliff passed away peacefully on October 18, 2023.

He was reunited with his parents Cliff and Jeannette Jones, parents-in-law John and Eunice Chisholm, and brother-in-law John Chisholm.

Born in 1937, Cliff was raised in Scarborough where at a young age he joined his father at the family business Jones Auto Wreckers.

Cliff took over the business before starting his own trucking company which enabled him to travel across Canada.

Being an avid outdoorsman, Cliff enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, snowmobiling and skeet shooting. However, he was most passionate about breeding, raising and racing Homing Pigeons.

Cliff is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn; his son, Cliff (Barb); and grandchildren, Zachariah and Chayla. He will be missed by his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary Jane and Stevan Knechtel; nieces, Lindsay (Dale) Skyers, Alison (Josh) Piel; as well as his great-nieces and nephews, Danika, Ethan, Jayda, Zane, Freya, and Ryker.

I would like to thank our family and friends for their continued support.

We would also like to thank the amazing staff at the Scarborough Health Network (Centenary) for their support and the care Cliff received in his final days.

A cremation has been taken place. A celebration of life is planned at a future date to be announced.
