Peacefully, on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at the Oak Ridges Hospice in Port Perry, at age 89. George Cochrane of Port Perry and formerly of Blackstock, beloved husband of Marilyn (nee Fice). Loved father of Tim and his wife Kelly of Port Perry, Tracey and her husband Tom Martin of Blackstock and Ted and his wife Carol of Minden. Loving grandfather of Derrick, Cara, Megan, Travis, Julie, Matthew and Riley and great grandfather of Fletcher and Miller. Dear brother of Joan Lindsay (Bob), Glenda Wakely (Bill), Bruce Cochrane (Georgeen) and Dennis Cochrane (Patty) and brother-in-law of Donna Dart (Fred), Keith Fice (Susan) and Doug Fice (Judy). Special thanks to George’s PSW’s Heather and Holly and the caring staff at the Oak Ridges Hospice.

The family of George Cochrane will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Sunday, February 22^nd from 1 – 2 p.m. A Service to celebrate his life will be held in the Chapel at 2 p.m. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Oak Ridges Hospice or the Canadian Cancer Society.
