COLLINS, Sharon Louise Collins

The family announces with sorrow her death in Ottawa Civic Hospital, Saturday May 3, 2025 at the age of 82 years after her courageous 3 year battle with cancer. Daughter of the late Donald and of the late Marjarie Smith. Wife of the late Donald Collins.

Loving mother of Scott Collins (Sturgeon Falls). Dear sister of David Smith (Barbara) of Lakehurst and Susan Freeburn (late Terry) of Peterborough. Stepmother of Sharon Masse (Jack) of Cache Bay. Predeceased by her stepdaughter Shirly Dokis (Sylvester).

Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her 5 grandchildren Danny Masse (Cindy) of Timmins, Roger Masse (Nancy) of Verner, Susan Masse (Randy) of Cache Bay, Sally Dokis (Terry) of Dokis, Shane Dokis of Dokis Bay, and her 6 great-grandchildren Tyler and Megan Kirkwood of Cache Bay, Jeremy and Michael Masse (Timmins), Cole Coleman of Dokis, Blake Dokis of Dokis and aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Sharon enjoyed her 34 years of service with the Ontario Provincial Police. Sharon enjoyed spending most of her summers at the lake but when she had a moment, she needed to have her hands busy either knitting or crocheting. Besides her career in the OPP she was also an Avon representative for over 30 years who could be found enjoying shuffleboard or volunteering with the hospital.

A celebration of life will be held on July 5, 2025 at 370 Nipissing St., Sturgeon Falls from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
