It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Debra Ann Comfort, known affectionately as Debbie, on October 23, 2024, in Cambridge, Ontario, at the age of 67. Debbie’s life was marked by kindness, intelligence, and a joyful spirit that touched everyone she met.

Debbie’s career was as vibrant as her personality. Starting as an ice-skating coach, she later transitioned to coaching roller skating, managing roller rinks across southern Ontario. Together with her husband, Gene Reaume, she co-founded Comfort Computers and Teqdirect Network Management, eventually retiring in 2016. Debbie’s entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to her community left a lasting impact.

A passionate roller skater and accomplished golfer, Debbie loved her extensive travels and cherished her home and gardens. She enjoyed winters in Florida with Gene, creating cherished memories filled with warmth and friendship.

Debbie is survived by her beloved husband, Gene Reaume; her mother, Audrey Comfort; her brother, Mark Comfort, and his wife, Bunny; and her cousin Lisa Galasso, who remained by Debbie’s side through her illness. She was predeceased by her father, Lawrence Comfort, whose memory she treasured.
