COOK, Lorne Cook

The family announces with great sorrow the passing of Lorne Cook on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at the age of 86.

Beloved husband of Gale, and dear father of Jeff (Maria), Ken and Chris, all of Timmins, and Karen (Bernie) of Cornwall. Proud grandfather of Justin (Tabitha) of Chatham; Brandon (Keandra), Dawson (Stephanie), Dayton (Tiana) and Dalton, all of Timmins; and Taylor-James Waller (Kareena) and Morgan Waller of Cornwall. Lorne was also the proud great grandfather of Nando Cook of Chatham. He is also survived by his sisters Mona Lamb (Barry) of Kelowna, BC, and Diane MacDonald of Timmins, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Cohen, and to the compassionate staff and physicians of the Emergency Department and Med 2 at Timmins and District Hospital for their exceptional care.

In lieu of flowers, remembrance donations to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

Visitation will be held at LESSARD Funeral Home and Cremation Centre on Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A funeral service will take place on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Parish.
