With a heavy heart we announce the passing of Beverly Jane Isobelle Cooper of Newcastle,Ontario, at the age of 79.Jane is survived by Clifford, her loving husband of 54 years and was a strong and devoted mother to Michael (Linda), Gregory (Tara), and Elliott. Jane was also birth mother to Jeffrey,whom she was fortunate enough to reconnect with later in life. She was a passionatesupporter of all her grandchildren, Derek, Andrew, Tanya, Julia, Vanessa, Jaxon, and great grandchildren.
Jane was born in Collingwood, Ontario on September 24,1945; daughter of WWII veteranHarry White and Evelyn White (nee McLaren). Jane cherished the life-long connections.she shared with her sisters, Barbara (Elliott) of Ottawa and Judy of Trenton, sister-in-law,Carol of Nanaimo, and brother-in-law, Joseph of Owen Sound. Jane was predeceased by her parents Harry and Evelyn, brother Thomas, and sister Carol. She will be dearly missed by many loving relatives and friends.
Jane was an accomplished painter, finding inspiration in sunsets, beaches, landscapesand gardens. Even as Parkinson’s began to pose challenges, she persisted by adapting herstyle and producing stunning abstract works of art. Gratefully, her paintings will brighten the homes of family and friends and forever serve as a reminder of her beautiful soul.
The family would like to thank the wonderful nurses, doctors, and caregivers at Lakeridge Health in Bowmanville, Whitby, and Oshawa who aided in her journey and ensured her final days were peaceful. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 25, 2025, from 3 to 5 p.m., at the Admiral’s Walk Clubhouse, 90 Shipway Avenue, Newcastle. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her honour to the Royal Canadian Legion – Bowmanville or Parkinson Canada. The day before her passing, Jane was bicycling and enjoying the renewal of spring on a glorious sunny day in her favorite of places – by the water.May the warmth of a sunset forever remind us of Jane’s spirit and passion for life.
