COPEAU , Linda Compeau

Linda Compeau (nee Martin) passed away peacefully on July 25, 2025. Linda came to Canada from Scotland at the age of 13. Though she dropped her accent, she never lost her keen sense of humor.

She leaves behind her devoted husband of 42 years, Gary, and children Douglas (Cintamani), Derrick, Bruce (Jen), Scott (Jess), Kyle and Martina, who will miss her dearly. Cherished Nana to Oliver and Max, Maya, Angus and Forrest, Brynley and Lochlan, and Logan. Predeceased by parents Tommy and Jean Martin and brothers Tommy and Jim.

She will be fondly remembered by her friends, too numerous to name, and the many children who she cared for in her home, and their parents, over her 35 years as a daycare provider. The void of her physical presence will be replaced with her fierce and loving spirit, which we will carry with us in our hearts forever.

The family will receive friends at Wartman Funeral Home – Kingston, 980 Collins Bay Road, on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 from 4pm to 7pm. Guests are asked to wear something purple or bring a purple item to honor Linda’s favorite color.
