CORRADETTI , Lori Anne Corradetti
July 30, 2025
With heavy hearts, the family of Lori Corradetti announces her passing on July 30 at the age of 59, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Beloved daughter of Max Corradetti (b. 1946) and the late Carole Corradetti (1943–2017), loving mother to Layne Wells, and cherished life partner of Gian Fortuna, Lori was born in Hamilton and lived her life in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.
Lori dedicated the first part of her career to local and provincial government, later transitioning to the private sector after furthering her education at the University of Toronto, School of Continuing Studies. She was an active volunteer, generously giving her time to several community charities.
Lori and Gian enjoyed traveling and were fortunate to explore several countries with family and friends. She loved to cook and entertain, often bringing people together around her table. In recent years, she reconnected with her artistic side, finding joy in sketching and watercolors.
Lori passed peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. She will be deeply missed by her son Layne, her partner Gian, and her father Max, as well as extended family and many dear friends.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Robert Grant and his team at Princess Margaret Hospital, Dr. Saroosh Arif and his team at Credit Valley Hospital, and the staff at Carpenter Hospice for their compassionate care and support during Lori’s illness.
A memorial gathering will be held at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of the QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Sunday, September 14th, 2025 from 3–6 PM.
