Claudette Courchesne passed away suddenly at the age of 73 on December 15, 2024, at her home in North Bay with her loving husband and son at her side. Claudette leaves behind her husband of 48 years, Marc, her daughter Danielle Courchesne (Carlos Montero), her son Philippe Courchesne, and her grandchildren Leonardo and Vincient Montero. She will also be deeply missed by her sister Louise Boisvert and brother Andre Proulx, as well as many cousins and friends.

Claudette was predeceased by her parents Marius and Yvette Proulx and her twin brother Claude Proulx. Born in Sudbury on September 27, 1951, she relocated to North Bay to begin her nursing career at St-Joseph’s Hospital. She was a dedicated operating room technician, serving for 35 years and assisting various surgeons. Claudette often worked long hours and was always passionate about her work.

As per Claudette’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will be receiving visitors at McGuinty Funeral Home Ltd. (North Bay) on Sunday, December 22, 2024, between 1 and 4 p.m. A celebration of life will follow at 4 p.m. in the McGuinty Funeral Home Chapel.
