COX, Ann Cox

A resident of Chatham, formerly of Wallaceburg, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at the age of 86.

Ann was the daughter of the late Charles & Mildred (nee Medland) Roe.

Beloved wife to the late Wilfred “Wilf” Cox (April 2, 2016).

Loving & devoted mother of Kim Pidgeon (Dawn) of Chatham, Todd Pidgeon (Chris) of Chatham, & Chris Pidgeon (Mary) of Pain Court.

Step-mother of Karen Smith (Ellery), Geoff Cox (Penny), Darren Cox (Michelle).

Grandma of Stacey, Niki, Megan, Oliver, Leah, Timber, Amy & Cindy.

Great-grandma of Leighton, Rhett, Maverick, Vance, Dylan & Cole.

Sister of the late Edwin (Ted) Roe (Jane) & Jane Houston (the late Doug) of St. Catherines.

Missed by many nieces, nephews & extended family.

Ann retired as a Registered Nurse after over 30 years of Service. After graduation from St Clair College – School of Nursing, she returned home to Chatham, working within the Emergency Department of the Public General Hospital and later, was the Director of Nursing at Vision Nursing Home in Sarnia. Ann enjoyed years of boating with Wilf and made many longtime friends throughout their adventures including the SYC (Yacht Club). She loved reading, doing puzzles and knitting special items for her grandchildren & great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of the Chatham Retirement Resort and the 6th Floor East staff of Riverview Gardens Nursing Home for their patience and compassionate care during Ann’s time there.

Family to receive friends on Monday, December 15, 2025 at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham from 11:00 am until a Celebration of Ann’s Life at 1:00 pm. Cremation has taken place with a Private Family Interment at a later date.

In memory of Ann, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Chatham-Kent or to the Riverview Gardens Nursing Home Activity Fund.
