COX, Darlene Walker Cox

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Darlene Kimberly Walker (née Cox), who passed away peacefully on September 19, 2025, in Kingston, Ontario, at the age of 65.

Darlene was the cherished daughter of the late Charles Alfred Cox and Mary Geneva Cox (née Wilkes) of Odessa, Ontario. A devoted and loving mother, she leaves behind her children: Renetta King (Dan), Robert King, and Sydney Walker (Brandon). She was a proud and adoring grandmother to Benjamin, Nicholas, and Stella, who brought immense joy to her life.

Darlene had a generous heart and a deep love for people. She especially cherished Christmas and the giving season, finding true joy in creating magical moments for her loved ones. Her warmth, thoughtfulness, and unwavering kindness touched the lives of all who knew her.

She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her sense of humour, and her ability to make others feel seen and valued. Whether through a kind word, a helping hand, or a thoughtful gesture; Darlene lived a life rooted in love and compassion.

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she brightened with her presence.

A Celebration of Darlene’s life will be held at Payne Funeral Home in Odessa on Tuesday, September 30^th, 2025 from 4-7 PM, with words of remembrance at 6:00 PM. For those desiring, memorial donations to the Ontario SPCA, a cause close to Darlene’s heart, would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Payne Funeral Home in Odessa.
