
Donald Howard Cox passed away peacefully on Friday, May 30, 2025, at the age of 91. A peaceful, loving gentleman,
he was predeceased by his parents, Kate and Fred Cox; his sister, Shirley O’Grady; and his brothers, Bud and Gerry.
He is deeply missed by his loving wife of nearly 70 years, Sheila, and their children: Aleith, Lynne (Randy), and Jeremy (Wendy).
Donald was a devoted grandfather to Lindsay (Darryl), Jayden, Nathan, Aaron, and Sarah; and a cherished great-grandfather to Emily, who adored her GG Don.
Fondly remembered by extended family: Marilyn and Chester Brown, Sharon Pressy and daughter Christina Pene, Helen and Chuck Beamer (deceased),
David Beamer (deceased) and Connie, Randi (Tim, deceased), Nancy (Shawn), Michael Beamer, and his many nieces and nephews.
Donald proudly dedicated 35 years to education, serving as principal in Ansonville, Cochrane, 4 Wing Air Base in Germany (1965–1968),
Galt, Kitchener, Waterloo, and concluded his career at Manchester School in Cambridge. He was deeply respected by students and staff alike.
A service of remembrance will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Wellington Square United Church, 2121 Caroline Street, Burlington.
A reception will follow. All who knew him are welcome to attend and share in remembering his life.
