CRISANTE , Tullio Crisante

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Tullio Crisante who died surrounded by his family on August 30, 2025, at the age of 85, at St. Peter’s Hospital in Hamilton.

Tullio is survived by his loving wife Carla of 64 years, and was a devoted father to Lucie, Sandra, Roberto (Denise) and Diana (Steve).

He was a proud nonno to Anthony, Mark, Laura, Alessandra, Liressa, Carla, Victoria, Lucia, Devin, Sabrina, Julia and Frank and great-grandfather to Lianna, Hailey, Caira, Levi, and Maya.

Tullio is predeceased by his parents Vincenza and Riziero Crisante and his brothers Carlo (and the late Marissa) and Donato. Tullio is survived by his brother Victorio (Claudia) and sister-in-law Adua. He will be lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Canada, Italy and Australia.

Tullio left his home town of Avezzano, Italy and embarked on a new life in Canada with his wife and young family. A family man with strong values and work ethics, he began driving trucks at a young age and continued to do so until his retirement at 75, earning immense respect from all his colleagues throughout his career. Tullio entertained his family with his many stories and his playing of Italian songs on his accordion. His big heart extended to everyone who knew him and he was ‘nonno’ to many.

Tullio’s kindness, generosity and love for his family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. He believed in building relationships and memories that stand the test of time.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Pinthus, Dr. Lalani and Dr. Swaminath at the JCC and Dr. Lambe at St. Joseph’s Healthcare and also to Dr. Lafrenier, Dr. Taniguchi and Dr. Christopher along with the entire amazing team at St. Peter’s Palliative Care (3 West) who provided exceptional and compassionate care to Tullio and his family in his final days. In addition, we are grateful to Danmar Pharmacy, Dr. Ralph Profetto and St. Joseph’s Home Health, especially his nurse Brad, for their support.

Family and friends will be received at Friscolanti Funeral Chapel, 43 Barton St. East on Thursday, September 4, 2025 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. with prayers at 2:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 200 Mount Albion Road on Friday, September 5, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Internment to follow at Our Lady of the Angels, 681 Mud Street East.
