CRISTOFARI, Giovanni John Cristofari
October 30, 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Giovanni “John” Cristofari, who left us unexpectedly on October 30, 2025, while doing what he loved – hunting on Pelee Island.
He was the beloved husband and lifelong partner of Argentina, with whom he shared 54 years of marriage and a beautiful life built on hard work, love, and adventure. Together, they owned and operated Cristofari Farms, dedicating 52 years to their work and taking great pride in everything, they grew. Cherished and devoted father of Domenic and wife Nammar, Carlo and wife Vivienne and Lora and husband Michael. Adored Nonno of Carli (Brandon), Isabel, Alyssa, Mark, Bella, Sarah, and Jackson. Bis Nonno of Lyla. Reunited with his parents Antonio and Carolina and in-laws Michael and Fiorina. Dear brother of Augusto (late Domenica) and Maria (Andrea). Brother-in-law of Nina (late Fred) and late Domenico. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
John and Argentina shared a passion for travel, exploring many places over the years and cherishing their annual trips to Italy to visit family and reconnect with their roots.
An avid outdoorsman, John looked forward to hunting season every year, whether it was moose, deer, rabbit, pheasant, or turkey, finding peace and joy in nature.
Above all, family was the heart of John’s life. He was happiest when surrounded by loved ones around the table, sharing food made from his crops and raising a glass of his homemade wine. His laughter, generosity, and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
John leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and simple joys – a life well lived and well loved. A special thank you to Cathy Miller, Mayor of Pelee Township and the first responders for your efforts, kindness and compassion given to John and our family.
