CUDMORE, Clarence White Cudmore

Cudmore, Clarence White – A resident of London, Clarence passed away at the London Health Sciences Centre, Victoria Hospital on June 11, 2025 at the age of 83.
Born in Chatham and raised on the family farm just outside of Ridgetown, Clarence was the son of the late Broughton and Olive (née McClung) Cudmore.

Loving husband of 51 years to Marie (2021). Beloved father to Stephen and Jason Cudmore of London. Grandfather to Destiny Cudmore. Uncle to Roger (Nancy) Cudmore and Elaine (Matt) Smith.
Brother-in-law to Mabel Cudmore, warmly welcomed into Marie’s family by Norma (Dave) Fenton, Shirley Rummell, Joanne (Gord) Machan, Hank (Janet) Arnold, Debbie (Bill) Carmichael, Larry Arnold, and Jackie (Ken) Whiting. Predeceased by his brother Nelson.

Clarence will be fondly remembered for the deep love he held for his family. A proud native of Ridgetown, he carried with him a lifelong connection to farming and a strong sense of community. Following a devoted 30-year career with the London Board of Education, he embraced retirement with energy and enthusiasm.

In his younger years, Clarence traveled across Southwestern Ontario to attend horse races — a passion that led him to meet the love of his life, Marie. Summer road trips became cherished family traditions, with spontaneous adventures across the United States and memories made along the open road. A naturally curious mind, Clarence developed a lifelong interest in technology, bringing home the family’s first computer in 1978 — well ahead of his time. A steadfast fan through highs and lows, he remained a loyal supporter of the Detroit Tigers throughout his life.

A Funeral Service will take place at the McKinlay Funeral Home in Ridgetown, ON, 76 Main Street East on Monday, June 16th, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Ken Whiting officiating. Following the service, the interment for Clarence will take place at Gosnell Cemetery.

Donations made in memory of Clarence to a Charity of your Choice would be appreciated by the family.

Memories and notes of condolence may be shared at McKinlay Funeral Home.
