CULP , Howard Frederick Culp
December 26, 1953 - August 4, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Howard “Uncle How” Culp, a spirited and selfless man, who left us far too soon at the age of 71. Though young at heart and in soul, Howie passed peacefully, having lived a life defined by generosity, compassion, and community.
Howard was a family man in every sense — not just to those tied to him by blood, but to everyone lucky enough to be drawn into his wide, open-armed circle. To his family up north, to the neighbors just around the corner, and to the countless lives he touched at the rink and the ball diamond, he was a constant presence — supportive and reliable.
Howard was a dedicated employee and manager at the LCBO for 33 years, where he developed lifelong friendships that he cherished. Affectionately known as “Uncle How” to many and simply “Howie” to others, he had a rare gift for making everyone feel like family. Whether cheering from the stands, coaching from the bench, or lending a helping hand, he led with his heart in all that he did.
His absence will be deeply felt by all — young and old — whose lives he brightened with his kindness, humor, and unwavering support. Howard leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and community spirit that will live on in the hearts of those he held dear.
