It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Eric Lawrence Cunningham. Eric was born on November 12th, 1951 in Moncton, N.B. and passed away peacefully with his family by his side on May 1st, 2025 at Lakeridge Health Ajax Hospital at the age of 73.
He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife, Donna of 49 years. Eric was a devoted father to his 3 children and their spouses, Lisa Pearson, James Cunningham (Pamela), Jennifer Kirshenblatt (Corey).
He was a cherished grandfather who lit up when any of his 8 grandchildren came to visit him, Elycia, Cody, Avrey, Rhys, Chelsea, Liam, Benjamin and Spencer.
Eric will also be remembered by his extended family and friends with great fondness.
Eric had a deep love for music and was a talented drummer. He was passionate about motorcycles, an avid fisherman and a true animal lover. Known for his kind heart and warm spirit, Eric also had a playful side and enjoyed the occasional well-timed prank. His presence brought joy and laughter to those around him and his legacy of love and compassion will live on in his family and friends.

In keeping with Eric’s wishes, there will be no formal service. The family will be holding a private celebration of his life. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to Parkinson’s Canada.
The family wish to acknowledge the outstanding care that Eric received while he was at Lakeridge Health Ajax Hospital and for the time he spent at Lakeridge Gardens LTC.
