Larry was a devoted father to Christopher and his wife Wanda of Paris, as well as to Christina of Paris. He was a beloved grandfather to six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Larry was also a loving brother to Dianne Marr (Paul) and Deb Parks (Kim), and he was predeceased by his sisters Marilyn Cooke (Dennis) and Heather Perrier (Don).
Family, close friendships, and the joys of country living were at the heart of Larry’s life. In his early years, he worked as a licensed mechanic, channeling his passion for repairing and maintaining vehicles. Later, he found great fulfillment in tending to his large vegetable garden, spending many summers planting and harvesting his crops.
One of Larry’s favorite pastimes was traveling south to Pennsylvania with his wife in their motorhome to visit their cherished Amish friends. He had a wonderful sense of humor that could lighten any mood and brighten any room. He had an innate ability to form quick friendships with complete strangers.
Larry was a man of faith who loved God wholeheartedly. He dedicated many years to serving in various roles within the church. Larry will be dearly missed by his family and friends. His kindness, humor, and generosity touched the lives of all who knew him.
Friends will be welcomed at the DWAYNE D. BUDGELL FUNERAL HOME, 1105 Rest Acres Road, on Wednesday, November 26th, from 2 pm to 4 pm. A Private Family service will be held at a later date. In Larry’s memory, donations to the Paris Food Bank would be appreciated by his family.
