CUTHBERTSON, Margaret Elizabeth Cuthbertson

Peacefully, after a day spent surrounded by music and the love of her family, on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Bluewater Health, Margaret Elizabeth Cuthbertson passed away at the age of 85. Beloved mother of Brian (Denise) of St. Clair Township, Sandra (Tim) Barton of Calgary, AB, Barb (Dale) Good of Corunna and Carol Anne of Calgary, AB. Loving grandmother of Ryan, Julie, Alex, Mariah, Lennon, Jazmine, and Jordan. Cherished great-grandmother of Declan, Rycker and Joshua. Dear sister of Anne (Tom) Randall and Mary (the late Ross) Laur. Predeceased by her parents, William and Ila Bradshaw. Margaret grew up in Bradshaw in Sombra Township. She excelled in both education and music and graduated from Petrolia High School as valedictorian. She worked several years, both in Ontario and Alberta, within the oil and gas industry. She worked in payroll and benefits, ending her career as an executive payroll administrator for Petro Canada. She was involved in many choirs in her life, which included following the Olympic Torch with Petro Canada Choir in 1988! She also sang with Knox United Church in Calgary, the Sarnia Glee Club, and finally St. Luke’s Church in Sarnia. She was a loving mom who enjoyed camping, music, puzzling, and being with her family. She will be sadly missed. A funeral service will be held at Smith Funeral Home – London Line Chapel, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 12:00 p.m., with family and friends being received from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Burial to follow in Moore Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Kidney Foundation or the charity of your choice (cheques only at the funeral home please).
