DALTON, Jean Christine Dalton

After a lengthy illness on September 4th, 2025, Jean Christine Dalton in her 97th year passed on to heaven to join her beloved husband of 45 years, Ross. Daughter of Arthur Rhodes and Jane Henderson Delsey, loving mother of David (Bette) and Alan (Jenn), dear sister of Olive (Jim) and John (Carol), aunt to Dennis, Kathy, Heather, Joy, Sandra, Laurie and Lynn. Survived by grandchildren Alicia and Tanya as well as great-grandchildren Ryan, Athena, Layla and Madison. A special mention to Claudio, Sean and Dawn. Thanks to Christine Rice, Margaret Sayers, Pennie Pryce-Jones, Hope Smylie, Melanie Meadows, Compass Point Bible Church (Reverend Douglas Agnew), Ontario Health at Home (Thomas Patterson) and all of the personal care workers at Tansley Woods and Dundurn Place for their assistance and friendship. Jean was a long time employee of Bertrams of Dundas where she was a cost accountant. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street, (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Wednesday, September 10th, 2025 from 12:00-1:00 p.m., where the Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Woodland Cemetery in Burlington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
