DALTON , Margaret Ruth Dalton (nee Shaw)

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Margaret Ruth Dalton (nee Shaw) on Saturday, July 12, 2025, in her 85th year. Forever loved and missed by her children; Russ (Beth), Terry (Paula), Patty (Ken), Diane (Mark), and Dwayne (Figen). Proud Grandma to Ryan (Harm), Randi (Shaun), Bryston, Andrea, Emma, Jacob, Jeremy, Jason, and Jordan (Ginny).

Predeceased by siblings Don (Jean), Keith, Raymond (Helena), Patricia (Les), and Robin (Ann), as well as her Great Grandson Miles. Mom and Barry were very fond of and provided wonderful lives for countless animals. Many dogs, along with parrots, fish, birds, cats, and just about any critter were at home. Our place was often a menagerie, and we loved it.

Margaret enjoyed retirement from York University, after many years of dutiful service in printing services. Born in Owen Sound, she lived recently in Chatham after many years in Brampton and Orangeville, where she made many friends.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A small get-together is being planned and will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the SPCA, in her name, would be appreciated.

Special thanks to the Cardiac Care Unit at London Health Science Centre for their compassion and care during a difficult time. They did the best they could to keep Mom comfortable and kept us informed and updated.
