DALY, Irene Mary Daly

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Irene Daly on January 26, 2025.

Loving wife of the late Frank W. Daly. Cherished mother of Leanna, Gary, Straun, and Tyrone. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Morgan Taylor and Mackenzie Daly, and great-grandchild Aubrey Taylor.

She will be dearly missed by her siblings William, Robert, and Zan. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Annie Dzikewich.

Irene will be remembered as a loving, kind, and trustworthy wife, mother, sister, daughter, cousin, aunt, and friend. She was always willing to listen and help when needed. A strong, resilient, and beautiful woman, Irene was tenacious and deeply respectful of others.

A special acknowledgment to her son Straun Daly, who lovingly cared for her at home for 21 years. She often expressed her gratitude, saying she would not have lived as long without his devoted care.

The family appreciates all of your prayers during this difficult time.

Visitation: Oshawa Funeral Home, 857 King Street West, on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.

Visitation: St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 209 Cochrane Street, Whitby, on Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM.

Funeral Service: St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 1:00 PM.

Interment: Mount Lawn Cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Durham Region.
