GERVAIS, Damasse Henry – (August 13, 1925 – December 21, 2015) – Passed away at Miramichi Lodge Pembroke in his 91ST year on Monday December 21, 2015.

WW II Veteran who served with the Merchant Marines in the South Pacific and Atlantic. Retired AECL Fire Fighter and Ambulance driver for 32 years. Member of the Royal Canadian Legion Deep River Branch 436.

Demasse Gervais of Deep River is survived by his loving wife Theresa Frances Gervais (nee Kasaboski), sons Douglas (Rosina), Nepean, Gary (Monique), Pembroke and Brent (Lori Ann), Oshawa, grandchildren Christopher, Ashley, Jennifer, Jessica, Noah, and Cole and great-grandchildren Lillian ,Zachary and Lyric, brothers John (Jean) and Ralph (Helen).

Predeceased by his parents Eulysse and Celestine (nee Labine), sister Evelyn Fynn-Hoffman, brothers Maurice, Victor, Andrew (late Lillian), Gregory (late Inez), Leonard (late Claire), Leo (late Margaret), Peter (Marcelle) and Paul (late Gisele).

Friends are invited to share their memories of Damasse with his family during visitation at the Murphy Funeral Home, 296 Isabella Street, Pembroke, Ontario on Sunday December 27th 2 – 4 p.m. only and on Monday December 28th 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Valley Funeral Home Hwy. 17, Deep River Ontario. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning December 28th at 11 o’clock in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church Deep River. Interment to follow.
