CROWE, Daniel Frederick Charles “Danny Boy” Crowe Jr. – Born to Margaret and Daniel Crowe on September 14, 1952 in Fort Frances, Ontario.
Daniel Frederick Charles “Danny Boy” Crowe passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2015.
He lived his entire life in Fort Frances. Danny belonged to the Local 607 Construction Union out of Thunder Bay. He married Shawne (Byrnes) on January 15, 1972.
Until ill health stopped him from going for coffee with his friends you could find him at the A&W and Tim Horton’s, catching up with the news concerning the town. He also was a Laker’s hockey fan.
Dan had to stop hunting and fishing and going to the cabin at Bad Vermillion in Mine Centre. He truly loved the outdoors. He had many special friends and he always said he had met many wonderful, good people.
Danny is survived by his wife Shawne, and son Brent, sisters Janet Lee (Brian), Heather, brothers Robert and Kelvin Lee. Also surviving are nieces Sheena Henderson (Scott), Amanda Klassen (Dallas), great nieces Taylor Wilson (Justin), Brinna Klassen, great nephews Thane Henderson, Owen Klassen, great great niece and nephew Maddox and Keelie Wilson, sister-in-law Arlene (Plum) Byrnes, brothers-in-law Ron Byrnes, Brian Lee. He will also be missed by his special 4 legged little girl Bree.
He was predeceased by his parents Dan and Margaret, sisters Jane Ann Baldwin, Mary Ellen, brother Gerry, brother-in-law Carson Baldwin and nephews Barry Baldwin and Scott McBain.
As per Dan’s wishes no funeral service will be held.
A celebration of Dan’s life will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 from 12 noon until 2:00 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 29 in Fort Frances.
A private family interment will be held at a later date.
Donations in memory of Danny may be made to the Fort Frances Community Chest.
