SERBERT, Daniel George Serbert

Serbert DanielSERBERT, Daniel George  –

1953 – 2024

Dan passed away peacefully, on March 8th, with family at his side after an 18-year struggle with Parkinson’s.

Left to mourn are his cherished wife of 35 years, Lorna Eaton-Serbert; beloved son, Alex (Nicole); siblings, Susan and Brian; in-laws, Arlene Erho (Bob), Sandra Semple (late John) and Malcolm Sexsmith (Michele); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dan lived his whole life in Toronto, enjoying a successful career as an electrician and company owner.

An all-round generous and friendly guy, he loved ocean fishing, hunting and the family’s happy place on Gloucester Pool in Muskoka having a drink or two socializing with many friends there. His quirky “Dan-isms” will be missed and hopefully, he is hoisting a “first today” in the afterlife.

The last year of his illness was very difficult and the family thanks all the caregivers and staff at Revera Leaside; the doctors, staff and volunteers of Temmy Latner Palliative Care and Philip Aziz Centre; and especially Dr. Jamie Meuser and Dr. Damian Rzeznikiewiz for their compassionate care and physical and emotional support to all of us.

Dan has been cremated and a celebration of life will be arranged for a future date.
