DEDELS, David “Butch”  –

August 6, 1943 – May 5, 2023

The Damn Dam got him in the end!! David “Butch” Dedels died at Talon Lake on May, 5, 2023.

He lived and died by his own rules.

Butch will be missed by absolutely everyone, especially patrons at local pubs, particularly Loretto Tavern, and we can’t forget his coffee-therapy group at McDonald’s.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn, who equally enjoyed and mostly endured 53 married years with him, no one knows how; and also by his son, Matthew (Tina); daughter, Katherine (Mark); his grandchildren, Teddy, Piper, Ashford, Kip, Willow and Fletcher; and his sisters, Nancy and Susie (Everett). He will be missed by his nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his extraordinary life will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023, at the Alliston Curling Club, 52 Albert St. W., Alliston.

Doors open at 6 p.m., with speeches at 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to The Good Shepherd Food Bank, Alliston, or the Salvation Army would be kindly appreciated.
