NICHOL, David Grant  –

April 14, 1951 – November 5, 2023

David passed away after a battle with Alzheimer’s.

Born in Fort Simpson, NWT, he was predeceased by his parents, Howard and Sheila; and his older brother, Bruce.

Beloved husband of Susan Rynasko; father of Margaret and Heather; and sibling of Elaine Harrison (Joe, deceased), Donald (Fran), Gordon (Marcia), Chris, Sherry Guévremont (Ben), Lina; and uncle of many.

David began his career in the golf industry as a greenskeeper at Garrison Golf and Curling Club, CFB Kingston.

In early 1988, David left his job as General Manager at Nobleton Lakes Golf and Country Club when the family moved to Hong Kong, where he worked at the Discovery Bay Golf and Country Club. He eventually returned to Nobleton Lakes, from where he retired. David actively volunteered in both federal and provincial Parkdale-High Park Liberal Riding Associations.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, November 18th at The Anglican Church of St. John’s West Toronto, 288 Humberside Ave. Visitation from 2:30 p.m. Service at 4:00 p.m., followed by a reception, or to join us on Zoom, go to sjwt.ca for the link.
