DAVIS, Dorna Davis

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Dorna on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at the age of 79.

She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Elwin Davis of 57 years, son Paul (Beckie Layer), son Chris Davis (Katya Shebetava), her beautiful granddaughters Lily (Matthew Mclaughlin), Bria, Sterling, and her favorite grandson Fisher.

Dorna will be lovingly remembered by her siblings, Bonnie (Gerard Cote), Beverly (Don Stanley), Joan (Ed Desabrais), Ginger (Gerry McKenny), Pam (late Neil O’Brien), and Lorne. Dorna was predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Grace (Smith) Coyle and her brothers Ray (late Rolande), Jack, baby Jimmy and sister Angela.

She will be remembered by loving family, in-laws, Shirley-Mae Mohr Davis (late Harold Davis), Marion (late Clifford Dagenais), Cathy (late Earl Alexander), Eldon (Eileen McKenny), and Donna (Michael O’Connell). She leaves behind many nieces and nephews, who she loved dearly. She will be greatly missed by her longtime and dear friend, Pauline Declare.

She worked at The Toronto Dominion Bank for 40 years while managing a family trucking business prior to retirement. She devoted her life to her family, always putting others before herself and offering a comforting word, a warm smile, or a steady hand whenever it was needed. As a mother, she was a source of guidance and unconditional love. As a grandmother, she brought joy, laughter, and gentle wisdom to every moment she shared. And as a friend, she was steadfast, thoughtful, and endlessly supportive—someone who truly made the world a brighter place for those fortunate enough to know her.

Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who loved her. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit, her warmth, and the love she gave so freely will continue to inspire and comfort us for years to come.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Quyon Community Centre, 1 Ferry Road, Quyon, Quebec on Friday, December 19, 2025 from 2 to 5 p.m.  A light lunch will be served.  In memoriam donations may be made to the Quyon Legion or Maison de Famille, Quyon.
