DAWSON, Mike Dennis Dawson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mike Dennis Dawson, age 74, who left us peacefully on September 24, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Mike was a beloved husband to his wife of nearly 40 years, Maggie, and a proud father to Megan and Matthew (Meagan). He cherished his role as “Papa” to his three granddaughters, Lyla, Rylie, and Quinn, who brought him endless happiness.

Mike is survived by his siblings, Bob (Sandra), Kevin, and Wendy (Laurent). He was predeceased by his parents, Betty and Bud Dawson. Lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Mike will be fondly remembered for his vibrant spirit and his deep love of colour, music, and sports.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 from 7:00pm-9:00pm at Mount Lawn Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Mount Lawn Funeral Home. To honour Mike’s vibrant spirit, the family kindly invites guests to wear colourful attire to his service. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Royal Canadian Legion Whitby Branch in Mike’s memory.
