DAWSON, Shirley Marie – Passed away peacefully at peopleCare, Tavistock, on Thursday, May 8, 2025, in her 90th year. Reunited with her beloved husband of 68 years, Raymond Dawson (2022).

Loving mother to Audrey Benbow (Kelvin), Darlene MacGregor (Alec), Brenda Benbow (Adrian), Glen Dawson, and Teresa Dawson (McLeod). Adored Oma to Cheryl, Gary, Adam, Carrissa, Amanda, Eric, Nick, Alicia, Barbie, Jason, and Tyler, and cherished great-Oma to 12 great-grandchildren.

Shirley is survived by her sister-in-law Patricia Dias. She was predeceased by her parents Leon and Josephine Dias, her son Gordon Dawson, sister Leona (Joe Wright), brother Robert Dias, brother-in-law Ken Dawson, and nephew Rob Dias (2025). She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Visitation will take place at Smith-LeRoy Funeral Home, 69 Wellington St. N, Woodstock, on Tuesday from 2–4 p.m. and 6–8 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Rev. Susan Cole. Interment to follow at Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery.
