DE WILDE, Johannes Mathews ‘John’ – Peacefully on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, Johannes Mathews De Wilde of West Lorne passed away at the age of 75.

Loving husband of Shirley (nee Avery) for 29 years. Beloved step-father of Ella (Jeff) Clark. Dear step-grandfather of Deirdre Clark. Survived by siblings Tilly (Art) Gronnerud of California, Carl (Jo-Anne) of London, Martin (Carol) of Strathroy, William of West Lorne and brother in law of Jimmy Avery of Rodney and Mildred Ross of Wardsville. Predeceased by brother Raphael and sister Betsy McBride.

Friends will be received on Thursday, October 15th from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Denning’s of West Lorne, 202 Main Street in West Lorne, Ontario.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 16th at 11:00 am from St. Mary’s Catholic Parish, 128 Main Street in West Lorne with Fr. Thomas Kuriacko officiating. Interment to follow.

As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to West Elgin Daffodil Society.
